Safe to Say Therapy

At Safe to Say Therapy, I’m committed to helping you break through emotional barriers, build resilience, and reconnect with your true self. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply unsure of where to begin, therapy can be a powerful step toward healing and growth. I provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where your experiences are met with care and expertise. Through evidence-based practices and a personalized approach, I work collaboratively with you to explore the root of your struggles, develop practical coping strategies, and cultivate a deeper sense of self-awareness. Together, we’ll work toward meaningful change—at your pace, in your voice.

I show up for my clients with compassion and curiosity. I want you to feel safe bringing your whole self into the room - whether that means processing big emotions or sitting in silence. There is no “right” way to heal!
— Mercedes Yates-Jones, MSW, LCSW

Our Services

Individual Therapy

A supportive, one-on-one space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and personal challenges. Whether you’re coping with anxiety, depression, stress, or self-esteem issues, individual therapy helps you gain insight, develop healthier patterns, and move toward emotional wellness.

Life Transitions & Adjustment Support

Major life changes—such as starting a new job, ending a relationship, moving, or entering a new life stage—can bring uncertainty and stress. Therapy can help you process change, manage emotions, and adapt with greater clarity and confidence.

Trauma-Informed Care

Trauma can leave lasting emotional impacts. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment to process difficult experiences at your own pace. Using trauma-informed approaches, we’ll work to rebuild trust in yourself and the world, reduce symptoms, and restore a sense of stability and empowerment.

Family Therapy

Family dynamics can be complex, especially during times of stress or conflict. In family therapy, I work with members of the family unit to improve communication, strengthen relationships, and foster healthier patterns of interaction. The goal is to create a more supportive, connected home environment.
